What is Flash?
From Wikim Adobe Flash (previously called Macromedia Flash) is a multimedia platform originally acquired by Macromedia and currently developed and distributed by Adobe Systems. Since its introduction in 1996, Flash has become a popular method for adding animation and interactivity to web pages. Flash is commonly used to create animation, advertisements, and various web page components, to integrate video into web pages, and more recently, to develop rich Internet applications.
Do you need Flash?
Some sites do and some don't depending upon many factors including web site goals and audience. Since Fire Up Media is all about Search Engines searching and indexing web sites, in most cases, we discourage the use of a Flash SITE, but encourage the use of Flash Elements within a web site.
Indeed, Fire Up Media's Site Igniter uses Flash technology in its Image Gallery and Streaming Video tools. So to answer the question of using Flash in a web site, Fire Up Media will ask the question, "Does Flash enhance the user experience and further the web site goals?"
How Much Does Flash Cost?
Of course that depends on what exactly the Flash Object needs to do or communicate. However, Fire Up Media can meet any Flash a web site needs and will quote the cost on a project basis.
