Why does Fire Up Media insist upon an EPS or AI format?
Most logos we get are JPG images. JPG is a compression format to make it's file size as small as possible. While good for page load times, every time you save the file, it compresses more and more data OUT of the file. Soon, within just a few generations, the logo quality deterioration is noticeable. Low logo quality implies low company quality.
EPS and AI formats are actually mathematical formulas, a "vector" format. That fact gives us two huge advantages:
- logo size can scale to any size and keep its quality
- file saving does not affect the image quality
