What is Site Igniter and what does it do?

As Fire Up has stated before, Site Igniter levels the Internet competition playing field by giving companies and individuals control over content and costs.

Site Igniter allows all (100%) the web site pages to be searched and indexed; even the pages easily added by non technical people through Site Igniter Text Tools. The search engine searching and indexing is crucial to any Search Engine Marketing or Advertising and is at the heart of most Internet Strategies.

Site Igniter is called a "Content Management System".

Fire Up Media’s Site Igniter is designed , "coded" and served by Fire Up Media exclusively.

That means it makes it very easy for content to be added and edited to the web site. Content can mean searchable Text, Streaming Video and Audio and Photographic or graphic images displayed in different ways.

That also means web site’s visual designed is placed "in" Site Igniter. As such, Site Igniter is not a visual design development tool. While Site Igniter allows beautiful custom designs to be used, its purpose is to give companies and individuals a way to add, delete and edit text and visual CONTENT WITHIN a visual design.

Why do we mention this subtle difference?

Site Igniter uses common Web Standards of HTML and CSS, so clients are advised to have Fire Up Media or another people knowledgeable with these standards develop the initial visual design

While Fire Up Media web site design workflow is considered standard by most professionals, clients always want to start with the visual design and work towards the final content rather than work from the content towards the visual design.

While the work flow can be started at any point and move towards either direction, working from a visual design to content design it is more expensive. So, in order to give clients more control over costs, Fire Up Media advises a work flow that may seem unusual to some clients. Throughout the development cycle, Fire Up Media's clients have visual guides to show the next step. Once the cycle starts, clients quickly understand and ususally prefer the seemingly unusual web site development flow.
